Well not really. He substituted for the First Tuesday speaker and told us about a new tool to send emails that get results. Tim strives to offer value for entrepreneurs who attend the meetings and he certainly came through again. Even Peter Rosenberger, a.k.a. the "Donald', said "it was just marvelous".

The last few meetings were small in numbers of persons but huge on help and contacts made. The purpose of the meetings is to help each other improve the way we present ourselves and our businesses. It consistently accomplished those goals.

I had a lot of people come to me this year and they are set up an contractor and receive a 1099 and have no clue what that means. So today I would like to talk about the 1099.
You do not have the pleasure of choosing if you are a contractor or an employee. If you supply your own tools and set your own hours, then you should receive a 1099 for work done. But the issue is when and how do you pay your estimated taxes on the money you make.

As you may already know that most States want to collect the billions of dollars in estimated sales-tax revenue that they feel they are loosing when goods and services are sold online. Collecting these taxes has become an increasingly contentious issue as the online business grows.
